How should the essences be administered?  We draw a distinction between an essence taken for a particular, temporary situation or condition (for example, situation-specific stress such as an upcoming exam) and one taken for a fundamental, “chronic” problem. A situation-specific essence can be taken two ways: 1. Eight drops in a cup of mineral water, sipped slowly 2. Four drops under the tongue as needed Not less than eight drops a day should be taken for immediate effect. Personal Compound: Four drops should be placed under the tongue four times a day: 1. Upon awakening in the morning 2. At night before going to sleep 3. The other two times can be at the patient’s convenience, sometime in the morning and in the afternoon. * During the first few days of treatment, taking the drops six times a day (four drops each time) is recommended. Who can take Bach flower remedies?  There are no prohibitions regarding who can use Bach flowers. Even those suffering from chronic illnesses, the elderly, and infants can use them. In addition, Bach flowers have a wonderful effect on pets and plants. I have successfully treated patients with Bach flowers for years. How can I be sure that Feel Bach’s essences act the same as the essences with which I’m familiar, i.e., Nelsonbach?  In order to answer your query, I will first explain the differences between our essences and those of Nelsonbach. Nelsonbach makes Bach Stock Essences by mixing 50% grape alcohol and 50% water (27% alcohol by volume). They add the mother tincture at a ratio of 1:400. We, on the other hand, make the essences exactly as Dr. Bach instructed, i.e., using Brandy at a ratio of 1:360 There is a small quantity of water (less then 1%) as a result of making the mother tincture as per the method that Dr. Bach used (our stock bottles contain 40% alcohol by volume). * Dr Bach used pure Brandy for his stock bottles, not diluting it with water at all. Many clinics and practitioners have gone over to using our essences, and report not only excellent results, but even better than those previously obtained. We are confident that our essences are the best on the market. Our company is number one worldwide in preparation of individual Bach flower essences, and the rate of satisfied and returning customers is high - a sign that we’re doing things right / our product works. Do your essences contain alcohol? If so, can this be harmful? Can I order alcohol-free essences?  We sell three types of essences: Individual (personal remedies), which are sold in 30 ml / 1oz. bottles and are prepared as per the customer’s order. We preserve the essence in Brandy and spring water, wherein the alcohol level per volume is 25%. This compound lasts six months. While we don’t recommend it, if you wish, we can prepare these essences without alcohol. At the end of the order process in the space for remarks, specify the name of the essence and add “alcohol-free”. In addition, we sell ready-mixed essences (Bach flower formulas). These essences are intended for common situations such as insomnia, tension, and smoking cessation. These essences are sold in 20 ml bottles. We preserve these essences with Brandy at an alcohol level of 40% per volume, and they retain their potency for 10 years. Lastly, we sell each of the 38 basic Bach essences in 20 ml bottles. These too are preserved in Brandy at an alcohol level of 40% per volume, and are also potent for 10 years. Like most homeopathic medications, ours are preserved in alcohol, and there is nothing to be afraid of: When used as instructed, the quantity of alcohol consumed will always be less than one milliliter (1 ml/0.034 oz) per day, and in most cases, far less. If it reassures you, certainly consult with your physician before purchasing our essences; s/he is certain to tell you that our essences cannot harm you. Indeed, alcohol consumed at such low dosages can even be beneficial. I have sleeping problems; are there any Bach flowers combination that help?  Here are some formulas that can help: If you are not able to fall asleep: White Chestnut + Impatiens (Take 4 drops an hour before going to bed) If you are waking frequently: Impatiens + Vervain If you awake with nightmares: Impatiens + Vervain + Rock Rose (Take 4 drops every time you awake; not more than 3 x times a night) If you are waking up too early in the morning: Impatiens + Walnut (Take 4 drops x 4 times a day) Can you tell me what your shipping charges are?  Please click on 'Shipping: Estimate' link on shopping cart page to find out the shipping charges for your order. Do coffee, alcohol, and nicotine have adverse effects on Bach Flowers?  Generally these drugs do not have a negative influence on the effect of Bach Flowers. On the contrary, Bach Flowers help to regulate the use of these substances. Is there such a thing as a correct or incorrect combination?  An incorrect combination can be suggested whenever a situation is not perceived correctly, and while not dangerous, the more precise the assessment of a situation and the choice of Flowers are, the more effective the combination will be. When, for example, six specific Flowers are needed in a combination but only three of them are used and three “less correct” ones are also used, the results may still be positive but the progress will be slower. In practice, each combination can be more or less precise in addressing a specific situation. A problem can be approached from many different angles; one therapist may prescribe a slightly different combination than another does for the same person and the same reasons—and both may lead to positive results. However, it is not advisable to take more than one combination at a time. In Bach Flower Therapy it has proved to be more effective to work with one partner or therapist and one issue at a time. Should the essence be taken before or during eating?  The essence should be taken on an empty stomach, within 30 - 60 minutes before or after eating. If you forget a dose, take it immediately upon remembering. Is it possible to overdose with Bach Flowers?  According to the principle of how Bach Flowers work, an overdose is theoretically impossible.
